Adrian Frieling is the first and only German actor in Greece, who performed in about 50 Greek theatre productions and in more than 30 movies, filmed in Greece. Born in Hamburg, grew up in Bremen, he studied "Applied Cultural Sciences" (fine arts and literature /theatre/film, in theory and practice [=acting, dramaturgy, directing]) at the University of Hildesheim, Germany. Master of Arts. 1990-2000, he acted as a basic member in 20 theatre productions of awarded German theatre company "Theater Mahagoni" (Hildesheim), and other theatres (in Hannover, Berlin, Leipzig, Jena). In 1993, he started to work also in Athens, where he lives since 1998, acting in films with directors: Vassilis Mazomenos (in "Kathartirio" [Purgatory], GR 2022, surreal Drama, 10 awards, 5 nominations, and in "Grammes" [Lines], GR 2016, surreal Drama, 8 awards, 14 nom.), Haris Raftogiannis (in "To Potami" [The River] GR/IT/XK 2023, surreal Drama), Nikias Chryssos (in "A Pure Place", DE/GR 2021, surreal Horror-Drama, 6 awards, 7 nom.), Costa-Gavras (in "Adults in the Room", FR/GR 2019, Polit-Drama, 2 awards, 4 nom.), Constantine Giannaris, Nikos Panayotopoulos, Stefanos Tsivopoulos, Dimitris Koutsiabasakos, Janis Rafailidou, Sofia Exarchou, Michalis Tigkiridis, Nikos Grammatikos (in "O Vassilias" [The King], GR 2002, Drama, 4 awards, 1 nomination), Ismini Sakellaropoulou, Kyriakos Katzourakis, Yannis Smaragdis, Alexis Kardaras, Jeremy Podeswa, Oliver Haffner, Jorgo Papavassiliou, Stathis Athanasiou a.o., and in tv-/web-productions.
