George Kottaridis was born in Kalamata, Greece, to Greek parents, Aggeliki Militsi, a hairstylist, and Polivios Kottaridis, a plumber. He is also a descendant of Mitros Petrovas (1745-1838), a military leader of the Greek War of Independence from Messinia and one of the leaders of the anti-government riots during the Bavarian regency of Greece. George discovered his love of acting at an early age and participated in annual productions during his elementary and high school years, and also to the Messinian amateur theater, as a member of the group. After graduating,he was accepted by UCLA film school in California,Los Angeles, and also by the university of Dundee in Scotland, to join the undergraduate program in film school, and Theater studies as well. His financial capacity didn't allow him to move to the next step, as a result he decided temporarily to abandon his dream and he decided to join the Greek Naval Forces so he can help his family, and raise funds so he can support his effort to become a professional actor. During his career, he succeeded to return to his first love and began working again as an amateur theater actor and stand-up comedian. After several years of hard work, he left the force, and he lives permanently in the Carribean. He finally made to get a lot of professional acting training from famous and well known actors, and acting coaches. George resides in The Bahamas and he is one of the most famous new actors of the country,participating a lot of films and theatre plays. He is also among great professionals, a founder and member of a new non- profit Association for the artists in the Bahamas, and Fight choreographer, owner of black belt 1st degree in Tae Kwon Do with also experience in several different fighting styles, with experience for over twenty five years.
